Just recently, I, together with my Psychology Major Classmates, Clara and Ms. Peddy (who is taking her doctorate degree), had gone with a study, in relation with Cogntive Psychology, about the concept of Life after death.
It was actually Clara’s idea regarding our topic and we were very excited about it. We conducted an interview with several age groups and asked each of them the question: if you die today, where would you go, and why?
We found out that all the people we asked believe that they would go to heaven anyway - no matter how they live their lives. if they were afraid to die - their response was yes. It’s somewhat conflicting that people believe in heaven as a place of eternal happiness and satisfaction yet most of them would say they’re not ready to go up to heaven. However, when I tried asking them
Is it because of your good work or is it because of the way you live your life? Are you really ready to die anytime, anywhere? Or you are one of those people (I asked) that is puzzled and afraid about my “somewhat prophetic question.”
Ephesians 2:8 says, “For it is by grace (undeserved favor) you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.”
If you’re quite uncertain about it, let me share with you the answer of a ten year old kid to Ms. Peddy’s. “I’d go to heaven – because Jesus has already opened the door of heaven for us.”
As you try to reflect upon this truth watch this short video made especially for you!
“RECEIVE JESUS TODAY!”
answered, “I am the WAY, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.”
- he did for us on the cross.
