If walking with God is developed thru our constant communication and devotion with God everyday, the church sermons are reminders that our whole church should know. Maybe there will be times that you feel bored about certain teachings, but you know what? Value every sermon because it’s not your pastor who is truly speaking, its God speaking thru him.
Take time with God – our Abba Father. Know that He’s more concerned about your life. He wants you and only you. Quit doing things for God – but start doing things for Him, about Him, and with Him. Enjoy Him in his presence. Seek His face and not his hands. Seek the intimacy that can never be taken away from you. Thats what life is all about – It’s all about Him.
We don’t need to be active in the ministry to show people that we are Christians, actions speak louder than words. Our lifestyle will dictate who we really are. What makes us a Christian is our faith in God, not our works. Though we will reap according to what we sow, still God looks at the heart and our motives.
Whether we like it or not, we are personally responsible for our own actions, if we sow good things, we will reap also good things; on the other hand, if we planted bad seeds, we will reap bad fruits. This is what’s hard about leadership; your years of work and sacrifice could be forgotten with a single mistake and error.
For the past few months I’ve been searching for answers regarding the direction and message that God wants me to share and the cellgroup / bible study that I am handling. I search and was desperately seeking God. Fortunately God provided me an answer in a very unexpected situation. I was browsing the internet when I came to see a very intriguing ebook title which is “How To Have Real Faith.” It was written by Rick Warren (One of the famous christian authors) who wrote the best selling book “Purpose Driven Life.”
To sum it up, this is the danger of having idols in our lives. Time will come that God may remove them from our hands if we will give much attention to them rather than knowing God. If fact, we all know that we are made for His purpose. I guess its time for us to give up those idols then come back to God.
I often play the song “So Beautiful” by Christ For The Nations. It’s a song that truly touched my heart and something that continuously reminds me how beautiful our God is. May this song touch your hearts:
“How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.”- 2 Samuel 7:22
Music had been a huge part of our devotional life. Even in church we to sing songs to worship God. I just had this burden to enlist some of the best songs of Hillsong United so that you could personally meditate the message of their songs. It’s not about music, what’s important is the message that the song delivers.
Do we truly appreciate God? Do we truly adore Him in our lives? He deserves every praise of His people. Whether in good or bad times, He still remains faithful. The moment we wake up everyday, it should be our hearts desire to give Him all the praise and adoration He deserves.
Anger is one of the most common sin that people commit. In fact, it is a very ordinary reaction we have. But of course we all know that ordinary doesn’t mean its right? In our world, sin in ordinary / common so as christians we need to show people the proper way of living our lives according to the Word of God.
