When God Uncovers His Greatness

God is truly faithful. He may not provide us everything we wanted, but he will always gives us what we need..

I had this very great experience regarding how God uncovered His fullness the time I was empty. Let me tell you how the story goes….

Last week I got an invitation to speak for a youth service gathering  to be held July 19, 2009 (it was yesterday). There is no turning back and I told God that yes I will accept that speaking engagement. For the whole week, I spent a lot of time reading ebooks, devotionals and ofcourse the bible. I truly seek God and was asking Him what message to deliver. I was struggling because honestly, it will be the very first time that I will be speaking on a youth gathering outside our church. I am not afraid to speak but I am so desperate to know the message that God wants to deliver. Aside from the message, I have a lot of concerns but there is one thing I declared to myself “Greater is the Jesus that is in me, than the devil that is in the world”. No weapons against me shall prosper!

So to cut the long story short, I survived! B-) The good thing is that  it is not because of me, or what I did, but because of Him… Everytime I pray to God, I always confess that God don’t need any skills or message that I have, what matters most is His presence in our midst. I can’t hide within me what He did that’s why I’m here to share to you 3 of the things I thank God for:

1.) I am not a speaker, but He made me speak!

Not all are born to speak in front of people. Since childhood, I made myself believe that I can’t do it. It is not about confidence,I just don’t like speaking in front. But yesterday, I did not even noticed that I consumed almost 90 minutes for the talk. For me, it was a great miracle. I truly believe it’s a work from God. I can’t imagine how I survived. But God allowed it to happen.

In the end, I just told myself that yes not all are called to be pastors, but as christians, we are all called to share the gospel and make disciples.

2.)  I am sick, but I found healing!

The devil will try everything just to hinder us from doing the will of God. Three (3) days before my speaking engagement, I feel very dizzy. In fact, I can’t breath enough because of colds. You know what I declared? Greater is the Jesus that is in me, than the sickness that is in the world! Up to the time I will speak, I still felt dizzy, but I clinged to God. He is more than my sickness. True enough, I did not felt any dizziness as I deliver the Word. Is it a miracle? Yes it its! Without the use of medicines, I found healing.

3.) I don’t have money for transportation, but God gave provision!

Many people see me as if I am someone who always has money. Here are some of the reasons why:

a.) My family seems to be rich because of business. People don’t realize that not all business is in good economic situation.

b.) I have a freelance job online. I do write for some internet marketers. People believed I earn more.

c.) My brother has his own business.

In reality, there is no one who will ever believe that I don’t have resources. The truth, our family pays a lot of debt. My brother is not yet launching his new business and I was not able to receive my salary for almost 2 months time. Basically I don’t know where will I get the money for my transportation. I am being tempted to ask a few friends, the church, or even to my family. But again, I declared God’s power in my life. If it’s truly His plan for me to go and share on the youth gathering, he will provide me the transportation money I needed.

Guess what? I never asked someone, even my family don’t know that I needed money but it is God who brought me a person whom He used to provide me the transportation money I needed. Here’s the funny thing, the youth service will start at 1pm; God gave me the provision 1 hour before. Not late, just in time for me to travel. In fact, God gave more that’s why I was able to bring some youth leaders to intercede while I deliver the message.

This is how God works. We can’t imagine what He can do. However, God is full of surprises and He always uncovers His greatness the time we realize we have nothing left, just Him!

Have you ever seen the greatness of God in your life? If not, here is how; Just obey!
