“Do all things without grumbling or disputing; that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world.” Philippians 2:14-15
Does grumbling produce any good fruit? Isn’t it that grumbling is the reason why the next generation of Joshua and Caleb entered the promise land, and not the batch of Moses? The Israelites have seen so many miracles starting from the time they are freed from the land of Egypt but still in the end, it’s obvious that they don’t trust God. In first Corinthians 10:10-11, the bible says “Don’t grumble as some of them did, for that is why God sent his angel of death to destroy them. All these events happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us…“
We ought to know God and to love God. Often times we thought that being active in ministry shows our love for Him. It is not our works that matters to God, it is our love and trust in Him. It’s not yet too late, as long as we are alive and kicking, we are assured that we can still change every sin that is in our lives.
Daily Devotion Conclusion:
God hates people who grumble. You may not like what’s happening in your life but don’t you ever grumble because you have no rights. Pay close attention to what your mouth will utter today. When you are close to grumble, stop yourself and instead praise God for His greatness and everlasting mercy. Don’t loose heart. Self pity is a sin and it does not come from God. Instead of feeling bad about yourself, just declare that God will do something wonderful in your life.
