It is a trend nowadays that most christians support a church ministry. Even the youth gave their special time to help minister to unbelievers thus sharing the Word of God.
Talking about the Kings of Israel written in the book of Kings and Chronicles, there are so many who walked wickedly and a few who followed the ways of the Lord. Sad to say that on those few kings who followed God, some of them did not walk wholeheartedly with God. Unfortunately, there are some which the bible specifically emphasizes like “Amaziah King of Judah”. In 2 Chronicles 25:2, the bible says that “he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord but not wholeheartedly.” On the first few verses of chapter 25, Amaziah followed God but in the end he turned away from God. Verse 27 says that “From the time that Amaziah turned away from following the Lord, the people conspired against him in Jerusalem and he fled to Lachish, but they sent men after him to Lachish and killed him there.“
When we talk about christianity, it’s not important how we had a great start in serving God. What matters most is that we endure till the end.
This serves as a reminder to all people who is serving God and also for those who plans to serve God. It doesn’t matter whether you had a good start in your ministry. What will make a difference is when you had a great finish in the end of this race. In Matthew 24:13, the bible says “but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.“
Daily Devotion Conclusion:
If you will decide to serve God, serve Him wholeheartedly.
