As I was conducting our cell group meeting earlier, there is something very special that made me smiled. The students I’ve been handling are new the bible studies and in fact they seldom attend church. However, as we study that Book of John, I felt God’s move towards their lives. They hardly give insights and questions but just today, I was totally over flooded by their questions and insights.
To my amazement, they confidently share what they have learned from our bible reading schedules. We all share our thoughts although there is something that we talked about with more time; it was John 9:1-3.
The bible says that:
“As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth.
His disciples asked him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man
or his parents, that he was born blind? Neither this man
nor his parents sinned, said Jesus, but this happened
so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.“
Just like the disciples, we often ask this questions to ourselves. In times that we are struggling or in sickness we instantly ask God if this is part of “Reaping Time” or “Is God displeased with my life“? Perhaps you’ve been in this kind of situation just like any other people did but here’s a quick truth:
God is the greatest orchestrator of everything that’s happening in our life. Most of the time, we struggle not mainly because we sinned before. We need to understand that certain things happen in our life based from His detailed plan for us.
1.) In John 9, He allowed the man to be blind since birth so that He could displayed the miracles for the people to believe in Him.
2.)In John 11, He allowed Lazarus to die first so that he could make a miracle commanding the rise up and live again.
Daily Devotion Conclusion:
Everything happens with a special purpose. At times you are confused, struggling and doubting, tell yourself that God orchestrated all situation in your life. Just have faith that all will be fine as long as we are in the hands of God.
