Fair Treatment

“Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.”
Luke 6:31 (NASB)

How do you want yourself to be treated? Have you ever imagined yourself being fooled, disrespected, not given mercy, not even a hand cares in times of your troubles? What if you need money or food but still  no one offered?

On the other hand…

Did you ever dreamt of giving to the needy? or providing food through feeding programs? or offering some help through counseling sessions?

It doesn’t feel good to experience the worst situations in our life, right? Who in this world will not dream of having a good life, filled with love, respect, support and care. However, there are only few individuals who bother dreaming of helping other people. Many of us our self centered! We only care for ourselves. We long for help and support but at times that others are struggling, we act as if we are blind to see other peoples need.

Everytime God blesses you, it’s not meant for your own fulfillment. Most cases, God pour out blessings to us so that we could serve as a blessing for other people. God commanded us to give generously. You know why? It’s not that God wants us to loose what we have but because He knew the principle of sowing and reaping. He wants us to give generously so that we could receive more blessings :-) Sweet truth!

Daily Devotion Conclusion:

Treat other people the way you want them to treat you. If you wanted to get help in times of trouble, then obviously offer others some help when they need it. You know how it feels to have nothing in hand, so give generously without expecting something in return.

In addition, this verse does not only talks about giving financial support of material needs. If you wanted to reap kindness, love, forgiveness, mercy and good treatments from other people, invest on doing it first to them.
