I loved singing worship songs for God because it is when my heart overflows with every word that I want to tell God. I am not really into searching for good christian bands since I believe that good worship songs doesn’t come from skillful musicians but from true worshipers of God.

I post here a very hearth whelming song entitled “Pour Out My Heart“. I’ve known this song since I was a child and up to now, it truly touches my heart. The message was very specific and you can easily relate to it. As far as I know, the song is composed by “Vineyard”.

If you are longing to praise God, to worship God and to adore God, this song will truly help remind you of how God is great to your life that you have no other option but to thank Him. To pour out your heart for HIM!

I love music so much and it makes me browse for new songs everyday whether in youtube, tangle or in playlist.com. For a very unusual incident God reminded me of a song which I heard 4 to 5 years ago. Back then I thought it was a composition of that church. I regularly sing it up to now because it serves as a good declaration for me.

So last Monday, I simply search in google the title of the song. To my surprise, I came across a page which informed me about a foreign artist (Rita Springer) who includes that song in one of her albums. I desperately searched for that song and I wanted you to hear it. It is a different kind of song. Obviously, it cannot be compared to famous christian bands like hillsong, planetshakers, passion band etc… but it’s message speaks deeply to the one who hears it. God wants to bless us so much as written in Jeremiah 29:11.

The song is entitled “Rise Up“. I pasted below the lyrics of the song.

Rita Springer is very new to me until the time I was really touched when I came across hearing one of her songs. What I like about her is that you will discern that she really meant what she sings. I’ve been a huge fan of Chris Tomlin and I even watched his concert when he came here in the Philippines with Kristian Stanfill. I listen to his music not to be entertained but to be blessed. I truly believe Gods ministers thru his songs but ofcourse what’s important is that our eyes cling to God not on the music itself. Just to give you a brief information about Chris Tomlin, I got this very good biography from about.com:

Chris Tomlin Biography:

Chris Tomlin was born in east Texas on May 4, 1972 and he grew up listening to country music by bands like Alabama. His dad taught him to play guitar and he wrote his first song at 14. Saved as a youngster, he always knew that God had a specific plan for him, but he couldn’t see much beyond following the Lord. He finished high school and enrolled in college, graduating with a degree in Psychology. It was at that point that he started spending a lot of time with Passion founder, Louie Giglio. He took a big step of faith and became involved in the first Passion conference in 1997. The rest, as they say, is history.

We all know about what happened on the Cross. Jesus Christ died and saved us from eternal hell. He showed us the perfect love we all dreamt of. Funny thing is that people is very familiar with John 3:16 but without deeper understanding about its true meaning.

I know you already watched the movie “Passion of the Christ.” The big question is, how did it affect your life?

Are you entertained?

Did it made you cry?

Did you felt sorry about your sins?

Did you experienced the love of God?

Many cried but sad to say that most of them continued living an unworthy lifestyle. The sinned more and more! This movie was not created to entertain people or to emotionally touched the hearts of every viewer. It is intended to remind people about God’s love. There is no other reason. You may have watched the movie before but I encourage you to watch it again. Don’t stop remembering what Christ did on the cross. It’s no just for me, it is also for you.. As you watch the movie, pray to God that His presence will fill you.

Before, I am a closed minded fan of Hillsong and Chris Tomlin. I thought that they are the only ones who produces spirit filled christian music. Just earlier this year, I discovered some other christian bands that truly touched my heart. One of them is the Jesus Culture Band. I really felt God’s presence as I hear their songs. As Kim Walker said (one of the vocalists); singing without feeling the love God is useless. It will just be like ordinary words or songs.

I encourage you to listen to this music hoping and seeking the love of God. Don’t be entertained, be filled with His presence! God’s love truly never fails us…
