Why Choose Being Exhausted
If Other People Can Work Exhaustively
For You?
It is a little bit weird. People want to have business to lessen stress compared from having a secular job. They don’t like being scolded by their boss’s. No one dreamt of being a work slaves. There is no one who will choose to stay in the office late at night, working all alone, choosing their jobs schedules than their families.
All people nowadays have a goal to put up their own online business hoping that it will make their life more comfortable to live in. Assuming, they thought that it will be as easy as it seems. Unfortunately, that is not what happens. Here’s why:
1.) They Act Like Superman!
Everybody acts like superman. When I first ventured as a blogger in the internet, instead of spending 1 hour to create an article post everyday, it made me work 6 to 8 hours.
Weird? All newbie bloggers do that.
We are very captivated in trying everything online. The funny thing is that we don’t focus on the skills we possess already. We envy other peoples’ skills and hope that we are like them. Sad to say that we study everything and not develop what we have.
As a business owner, your task is to search for opportunities and to make it boost your daily income. For small time business, the owner could also do the marketing side, but for huge online business, everything is given to the outsourced employee.
“The business owner thinks, the employee works”. This is what I believe in!
Remember This:
It is better to put our kids on our arms, than putting loads of tasks on our shoulders.
2.) There Is No Trust.
The problems starts when business owner hesitate to trust his employees. Most business owners don’t give many tasks because they are not assured if the task given will be done. At some point it’s good, but in a much broader perspective, it is not a healthy habit.
“If you can’t trust your employee to do the tasks you gave them, it will be better not to hire one.”
Take note of this:
As always, it is very hard to give trust to anyone, even to our employees. It is normal! But let me remind you that it will require you to take risk for your business to grow. Growing companies always hire new employees. They don’t stick to the usual number of employees they have.
If you can’t hire employees, then obviously you are not yet ready for a much bigger business. It takes trust to build a better business!
3.) One-Man Business.
Four years ago, I was an intern student of “IBM Philippines.” I worked there to assist the CustSAT Manager (Customer Satisfaction) and the SIEBEL managers. At first, I thought I will be just like any other robot employees. (If there is task then there is work, if none, then nothing to do.) What amazes me is when I realized that I am more than what I thought. I am not treated as a robot employee. In fact, they value my opinion. They do ask me regarding certain things. When they show me their plans then I give comments and suggestions. It feels nice!
The point here is, you as the business owner have the vision for the business, but it doesn’t mean that you are the only one who thinks best for it. Why consumes days and weeks thinking and planning, if you can meet your employees and ask them for suggestions?
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t say that you follow what they say! The idea here is that there ideas could be valuable enough to compliment your plans.
The moment you started an online business,
did you encounter the stress free life?
Or
Did it made your life more complicated?
The Choice Is Yours! Everything may seem to be complicated but it could still change. You can still enjoy conducting business while having your kids on your arms.
